The energy was electric this past Saturday as Cascade Kitchens officially opened its doors to the public, marking a major milestone for South Lake Tahoe’s food and business community. The much-anticipated Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, held in partnership with the Tahoe Chamber, brought out a crowd of excited locals, vendors, and community leaders eager to explore the region’s first-ever food hall.
📍 Located at 1030 Tata Lane, Cascade Kitchens offers a bold new take on local dining—bringing together a diverse mix of food vendors, a full-service bar, grab-and-go marketplace, and a space built for gathering, connection, and collaboration.
“Our hope is that Cascade becomes a business incubator and community hub,” shared co-owners Lauren Lee and Fran Faulknor. “We want this space to empower food entrepreneurs and give locals a new favorite place to connect.”
From smoky tacos and handmade noodles to specialty coffee and sweet treats, each vendor adds their own unique flavor and story to the hall. With communal seating, indoor/outdoor dining options, and the Thirsty Bear Bar pouring locally brewed beers and seasonal drinks, the space already feels like a vibrant extension of the Tahoe lifestyle.
The event featured live music, samples from all participating vendors, and of course, the official ribbon cutting—a celebration of vision, persistence, and community support.
