Inspired by Tara’s time living in New Orleans, her menu brings the rich, soulful tastes of the South to every plate—crafted with authenticity, creativity, and a whole lot of love.
What began as a dream fueled by long days, hard work, and plenty of sweat and tears came to life in 2021 in South Lake Tahoe. Since then, Bertha has traveled far and wide—serving hungry crowds in Placerville, Sacramento, Carson City, and Reno at a variety of events. Now, she’s proudly returned to where it all began. As Tara says, “She’s back where she belongs”—right here in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.
