At Cascade Kitchens, kids get to roll up their sleeves, try new flavors, and discover how fun cooking can be. Our hands-on kids classes turn fresh ingredients into simple, delicious recipes—right here in the heart of South Lake Tahoe.

Class Schedule

👧 Ages 3–5:
Cooking: 5:00–6:15 PM  |  Dinner: 6:15–7:00 PM

🧒 Ages 6–9:
Cooking: 6:15–7:30 PM  |  Dinner: 7:30–8:15 PM

All supplies—aprons, utensils, and kid-safe cooking tools—are provided. Parents are required to stay on-site during the class, and all participants will be asked to pre-pay, sign a waiver, and fill out the registration form prior to class day.

This special event is a perfect opportunity for children to explore their creativity, build confidence in the kitchen, and enjoy the delicious results of their hard work!

What Your Child Will Learn

  • Basic kitchen safety & hygiene

  • Measuring, mixing, chopping (with kid-friendly tools)

  • Following simple recipes step by step

  • Trying new ingredients with an open mind

  • Working as a team and cleaning up together

What a Class Looks Like

  1. Welcome & introductions – Meet the instructor and other young chefs.

  2. Kitchen rules & safety – Quick, kid-friendly briefing.

  3. Hands-on cooking – Kids prep, mix, and cook their recipe with guidance.

  4. Taste & share – Everyone sits down to enjoy what they’ve made.

  5. Wrap-up & clean-up – Kids help tidy up and take home any recipes used in class.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable clothing that can get a little messy

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • Hair tied back (if applicable)

Safety comes first. Please tell us about any allergies or dietary restrictions in the signup form. We’ll do our best to accommodate, but some classes may not be suitable for certain allergies. If you’re unsure, reach out before booking and we’ll help you choose the right class.
